My aunt is a housekeeper for a celebrity but i don't want to ask her. She gets paid alot of money and i want to know how do i get in the business of doing that. Can i just walk up to a celebrity home and ask if they need a housekeeper or something.

I am midle age woomen looking for a job as a housekeeper on come and go basis in chicago and north subarbsnon come and go basis

Look into Nanny and Housekeeper agencies, they keep listings of people who are available on long-term OR short-term assignments, and expect to have to have a short background investigation report on you prepared (You’ll get to pay for it, cost maybe $25 or so.)

Not as a career choice but am in college but would like work as a house keeper part time and I can even do light cooking…or more with a cook book..lol. I don't even mind pets at all.

How can I find a job like that in Florida?
Or do you think all thoes types of jobs are taken?
Thanks but am not into doing hotels but in homes where I can try to do three houses instead of ten rooms.
And with homes I don't mind doing a little beyond my job.

Try the temp agencies and see if they have anything they can hook you up. Although you may not want to work for a temp service, but it's something to get your foot in the door. There are agencies dedicated especially towards housekeeping.

You may be able to try Senior Retirement Facilities, they usually have housekeepers, laundry attendants, or Servers (serve foods, and work in the kitchen) and dining area. I actually live in Michigan. But there should be a higher job demand there, considering Michigan is #50 on the unemployment list.

I think you can find something in housekeeping. You can even pick up the telephone and ask to speak with the hiring Manager. Ask are they hiring first. Pitch to them you would like to work there, and what you have to offer. If the manager can't speak to you over the phone, when you fill out the application..ask to speak to a hiring manager. Things will work out for you.

I don’t want to tell them I am pregnant. Also, they have cats, and I am not sure about if cats and pregnancy are good match when I had not had contact with cats before. I am not worried about chemicals. They are ok.

I work as a nanny/housekeeper and i'm 10 weeks pregnant. The difficult thing i'm finding is the tiredness. I'm so tired during the day that i can hardly mop the floors, let alone clean an entire bathroom. I get puffed out just walking up the stairs, so doing the shopping is a nightmare and trying to sweep just kills me.

This will settle down in the second trimester, however thats when you'll start to show, and things will become more akward the bigger your belly gets.

One of the big obstacles to keeping up with a solid fitness routine for many people is work. Having to work extra hours often means cutting out the time at the gym, the evening walk or whatever exercise you try to work in on a regular basis.

Sometimes you do just have to accept that a fitness routine isn’t going to work for the moment. However, most of the time you can find a way to work fitness into your lifestyle.

Are you still taking lunch breaks? If not, get back into the habit! Failing to eat lunch will make you less productive, and if you get a sandwich or something you can eat as you walk, you can get a bit of exercise time right then. You should also take a look at what that busy schedule is doing to your eating habits. It probably makes you eat out more, and eat fewer healthy foods.

If you make the effort you can avoid that pitfall. Keep trying to bring lunch to work rather than hitting the fast food joints or quick restaurants. Learn to use a crockpot so you don’t have to worry about being too tired to cook dinner in the evenings. Try making extras when you do cook so that you can have homemade meals sitting in the freezer, ready for those evenings where the energy to cook just isn’t there.

Some people find that hiring a housekeeper can help as well. It allows you to stop thinking about cleaning the house, so you can exercise with one less thing to get done.

However, another solution would be to do the housework rather energetically. Put a little extra motion into the cleaning. It will probably be more fun and burn more calories.

Cutting back at work is often not a possible solution. But if you have the flexibility you can step out for a walk or a short run to a nearby gym and then return to work. This won’t be possible at all jobs, but if it will work for you, why not give it a try? A good workout can really energize you.

There’s really little need to let life get in the way of a fit lifestyle. Most especially you don’t need to let it get in the way for very long. When those times come that you just can’t fit a good workout in, make sure to get back into the habit as soon as possible.
