My wife and I work 60 hours plus a week, We both work 2 jobs. We have 3 children and are looking for someone to clean, do laundry and cook a few nights per week. We prefer someone to live in the house with us. How much should we pay for this service?

well depending on the hours and the labor of work u want the person to do mostly and to live in the house wow its a deal probably no more than $15 and hour or no less than $10 an hour since 3 kids are more work if you cant find anyone between those ranges over $15 no more than $20 should do

When I have the interview for a housekeeper in a Hotel, when they ask why i want to work there what is a good answer?

any other tips as well???

- Because of your excellent reputation as an employer.
- Because of the caliber of people you hire and I want to be one of them.
- Because I know that you hire the best and I want to be a part of your team.
- I researched the hotel and this is the kind of organizaiton that I want to grow with.
- I’ve heard that you value employees who perform well and I am a good performer.

Other tips: arrive at least 15 minutes before the interview. Leave the cell phone in the car (that way you don’t forget to turn it off.)
Get a good night’s sleep.
Dress business-like - even tho’ the job is not a front office job.
Pull a few sample interview questions from the internet and practice answers.
Be prepared to ask the interviewer questions about the job.
Have a firm hand shake. Don’t be fidgety and look at the interviewer when speaking w/him(her). Be friendly to the office staff and anyone else you meet before, during or after the interview. Don’t give closed end answers - elaborate, but don’t talk too much. At the end of the interview, ask: Do you have any other questions for me." Thank the interviewer for the interview and send a thankyou letter as soon as you get home.

I applied and have an interview scheduled for Monday for the position as a housekeeper at a nursing home. I’ve no real job experience but do volunteer at the hospital. So, just to be prepared, does anyone know the questions usually asked for positions like this?

Just don’t tell them that you like to smother people with pillows and you should be fine.
