Would you hire a male housekeeper?
I heard on PBS where David Sidaris, a writer and comedian cleaned peoples homes and apt’s. He said he loved the work and did not consider it demeaning. As all work was good and he got paid for it.
Would you hire a male for a job like this or would it weird you out look for a female.
Sincere answers only okay? I really want to know honest opinions, do not feel the need to be PC or any of that. Just be honest, thanks!
If I could somehow afford a housekeeper, yes, I would consider a male housekeeper. I wouldn’t care as long as the work was good, the rates were reasonable, and I could trust the person to not steal my stuff.

how much do you pay your housekeeper or maid?

I currently pay my housekeeper $10 an hour. My house is not small but not super large (5 bedrooms 5 bathrooms ,not that she cleans all of them well….). So I’m wondering if I am overpaying her or even under paying her. Again she does a mediocre job.
I would say $10/hr is a great price for a mediocre job!! If you have someone doing an excellent job, I would pay $15/hr.
